RLM Hospitality is a boutique restaurant management firm that partners with restaurant owners and managers to leverage their use of Restaurant 365 software to improve their bottom line. Offering both accounting and operations services, RLMH works closely with each of our clients to provide impactful insights into their businesses. All of us have worked in the restaurant industry in one form or another, so we pride ourselves on being able to understand the challenges our clients face.

Although we are a fully remote company, we are a highly collaborative team, often sharing ideas on how to build better systems and how to better serve our clients. While being able to work independently is a must, all voices matter on this team. We stay connected through regular All-Hands meetings, which present as an opportunity to get to know each other better, as well as a chance to celebrate wins or raise concerns.

Current Opportunities

  • As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our Restaurant365 Essential Accounting clients. With your expertise and attention to detail, you will efficiently handle the daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that are essential for maintaining accurate financial records.

    Regular duties of this position include:

    • Track, manage, and communicate with multiple clients.

    • Validate POS reports and approve daily sales.

    • Input and approve AP invoices.

    • Complete weekly check runs.

    • Enter payroll journal entries and other entries as needed.

    • Reconcile bank accounts to statements monthly.

    • Reconcile third party accounts.

    • Prepare and file sales tax.

    • Set up accounting module and validate data information.

    • Field questions/provide support.

    • Act as a product expert, provide best practices and configurations to meet each client’s unique needs.

    • Deescalate client issues effectively and with respect.

    ABOUT YOU

    • You’ve worked in an accounting, bookkeeping or finance role for at least 2 years!

    • You’re familiar or have a passion for the restaurant industry.

    • You have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel!

    • You have excellent problem-solving skills!

    • You are a strong project manager!

    • You are organized and detail oriented!

    • You build relationships and provide outstanding customer service!

    • Restaurant365 or Compeat experience is ideal but not required.

  • As a Restaurant Operations Consultant, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of clients, utilizing Restaurant365 Operations to provide valuable insights into key areas such as COGS, labor, and operational goals. Through your expertise in data analysis, database management, and regular client meetings, you will offer reliable solutions that optimize efficiency and drive success for your clients.

    Regular functions of this position include:

    • Implementing R365 Ops software to new clients.

    • Setup and onboarding new clients.

    • Be the key contact within client’s organization at ownership and store level.

    • Understand the organizational makeup, ordering trends, menus and goals of each client.

    • Create and manage budgets by period and forecasts by period and week.

    • Maintain regular communication with clients.

    • Approve item level AP and Inventory.

    • Conduct quarterly item audits.

    • Coaching and developing clients at owner and store level.

    • Verify labor rates and punches, labor accruals, and labor reporting.

    • Review and send weekly financial statements.

    • Regular coordination with RLMH accounting team.

    • Analyze EOP P&Ls, inventory, and menu item performance

    • Understand how to present P&L and actions items based on results.

    • Regular internal updates on Monday.com and Teams.

    ABOUT YOU

    The Restaurant Operations Consultant role requires 3 years of general management and/or restaurant analysis experience within multi-unit restaurant operations. This is a dynamic role that requires deep knowledge within the restaurant business, related technologies and accounting. Ability to troubleshoot and make deep dive analyses to ensure deadlines are achieved with the data set and delivery that is impactful! Ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams with thoughtful communication, time management, and creativity. Strong computer skills and work from home experience are encouraged. Knowledge of Restaurant365, Meez, Compeat, or MarginEdge are a huge bonus!
